History

Anamaria Ferentz is an award-winning Romanian singer, songwriter, artist, writer and actress widely considered an extremely successful and incredibly talented performer.

A true creative gifted soul, born on December 14th in Bacău, Romania, she possessed a deep passion for music since she was born.  Her mother recalls every time Anamaria heard music she started moving her body feverishly to the beat.

As an introvert and introspective person, Anamaria finds solace in expressing her feelings, thoughts, and emotions through music. Her songs  encourage listeners to dance, have fun, and enjoy life to the fullest. Her greatest desire is to bring joy and happiness to people's lives. 

Anamaria continues to captivate audiences with her powerful voice, dynamic stage presence, and infectious energy. Her music transcends genres, as she effortlessly performs a wide range of musical styles. 

Whether she is singing her own compositions or collaborating with other talented songwriters, Anamaria pours her heart and soul into every note, ensuring a unique and memorable experience for her listeners.  Her performances are filled with raw emotion, creating a connection that transcends language and cultural barriers. 

In 2001, she joined forces with two talented musicians, George Calin and Silviu Duduta forming the dance group DEMMO. Together, they released four albums: "Ding, Dang, Dong," "Pentru Inima Ta," "Trei," and "Cantecul Meu," which achieved renowned success and popularity internationally. 

In 2009 Anamaria launched her first solo album "Fresh" under the title AMF (the initials of her name Anamaria Ferentz).  She also appeared in "The concert", during 2009. 

 The movie was critically acclaimed earning several international awards including a nomination for a Golden Globe Award in 2011, in the foreign film category. 

Throughout her career, Anamaria has drawn inspiration from a wide international range of musical influences. Some of those include iconic artists such as Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, George Michael, and Queen, Sia, Bruno Mars, Marc Anthony, and Eminem. 

Anamaria believes that every artist, famous or not, has something to share and inspire.  Her musical accomplishments have been recognized with numerous awards and nominations. As a member of DEMMO, she received nominations at the Atomic TV Music Awards and MTV Music Awards Romania. As a solo artist, Anamaria has been honored with 

various music awards, acknowledging her popularity and excellence in the Romanian music scene. 

She has also appeared on popular TV shows, including “Dancing with the Stars” showcasing her diverse talents.  In addition to her music career, Anamaria is a multifaceted individual. She holds a bachelor's degree in music pedagogy and has explored other artistic endeavors including writing and painting.  She published a children's book titled "Oscar, minunatul meu catel." This book honored the journey with one of her very special pets earning the the “Little Trophy” award in 2006.
